What ₹5 lakh buys

Typically a 2WD tractor between 20 and 35 HP, with a basic hydraulic system and a straightforward gearbox. That is enough for a cultivator, a small rotavator and a trailer on 1–4 acres.

What it does not buy

4WD, a wide rotavator, or the lifting capacity for heavy mounted implements. If you need any of those, the honest answer is that the budget has to move rather than the expectations.

Remember the on-road figure

Every price on this page is ex-showroom. RTO registration and insurance add roughly 7–10%, so a ₹4.8 lakh tractor lands closer to ₹5.2 lakh. Budget for that before committing.
