Visit more than one showroom of the same brand. Prices, exchange values and finance schemes differ between dealers, and the difference on a single tractor is often substantial. Ask each for the on-road price in writing, itemised into ex-showroom price, RTO registration, insurance and accessories.

Ask how far the nearest workshop is, what the free-service schedule covers, and how quickly common spares are available. A slightly higher price from a dealer with a workshop in your district usually costs less over the tractor's life.
