Buying a tractor in India, without the guesswork
Tractor Kharido is a marketplace for new and second-hand farm machinery in India. The catalogue covers models from every major manufacturer, with the specifications, ex-showroom pricing and state-wise on-road estimates a buyer actually needs before walking into a showroom.
Most people arrive here with one of four questions: what a specific model costs in their state, how two models compare on paper, what a used tractor of a given age and hour-count is worth, or which dealer near them carries the brand they want. Each of those has a dedicated tool on the site rather than a sales form.
New tractors
Every model page carries the full specification sheet, engine and transmission detail, lifting capacity, and the price band as published by the manufacturer. On-road pricing is shown per state, because RTO charges and insurance differ enough between states that a single national figure would be misleading. Where a price is an estimate rather than a quoted figure, the page says so.
Second-hand tractors
Used listings are posted by owners and dealers, and each carries the year, running hours, condition and location. There is no substitute for inspecting a machine in person, so the listings exist to shortlist, not to buy sight-unseen. Sellers can list a machine free of charge, and the valuation tool gives a reference range before setting an asking price.
Comparing models
The comparison tool puts two or more models side by side on engine, transmission, hydraulics and price. It is most useful late in a decision, when the choice has narrowed to models in the same power band and the differences come down to gearbox type, lifting capacity and running cost rather than headline horsepower.
Dealers
The dealer directory lists authorised outlets by state and district, with the brands each one carries. Prices, exchange terms and finance offers vary between dealers even for the same model, so it is worth speaking to more than one before committing.
Finance, insurance and government schemes
The EMI calculator shows what a given loan amount, rate and tenure work out to per month. Central and state subsidy schemes for farm machinery change frequently, and the schemes section tracks the ones currently open, with eligibility conditions stated plainly. Nothing on this site is a loan or insurance offer; the aim is to make the numbers clear before a farmer talks to a lender.
How this information is put together
Specifications come from manufacturer brochures and are updated when a new variant is announced. Price bands are reviewed periodically and carry the year they apply to. On-road figures are estimates built from ex-showroom price plus typical registration and insurance costs for that state, and they are labelled as estimates everywhere they appear. Where we do not have a figure, the page leaves it blank rather than filling it with a guess.
