Chopping is not held back by dampness and morning dew when you own a New Holland Model 38 Crop-Chopper(R). “The curved cutterhead paddles give it more lift, so the crop ends up in the waggon even if it’s moist. Blower paddles are adjustable to keep the distance between the paddles and the band, ensuring positive blowing action and minimised band wear. Heavy-duty rotor bearings, sealed with specific seals and lubricated, keep moisture, dirt and debris out. The rotor housing opens when you discharge materials on the ground - a handy feature when shredding and spreading cornstalks, cutting weeds or clearing brush and stubble.

INHERENT RELIABILITY

The cutterhead has knives that may be individually adjusted to rechop the crop after it has passed through the rotor flails. The cutterhead can be supplied with two, three or six knives of your choosing. Rotor knives have a staggered pattern to facilitate an even & regular crop flow. The knives can be adjusted with the shear plate by means of micrometer-type knife holders without loosening the knife bolts.
