Rejected farmers can now apply for solar pump subsidies
The subsidy's solar pump application deadline has been extended, and farmers who were previously declined are now eligible to submit an application.

Farmers are acquiring solar turbines at subsidised rates to help with irrigation during the Kharif season. A later application deadline has been implemented in order to provide more producers with access to the solar pump subsidy. Applications for solar pumps can be submitted by farmers through June 20th. Furthermore, those producers who have had their applications denied will be able to reapply. The special feature is that manufacturers receive a 60% solar pump subsidy. To make this easier, applications are periodically requested, and solar pumps are given to chosen producers at a discounted cost. They have solar pumps installed in their pastures.

According to media sources, the Rajasthan Horticulture Department authorised farmers to build solar power plants in their fields with incentives in March 2024 as part of the PM Kusum Yojana. Hundreds of applications were returned to the residents because they were incomplete throughout the investigation. Mobile texts were used to notify the impacted farmers. In this case, farmers will need to file their completed documentation online in order to be eligible for a solar pump subsidy if they haven't already done so. Farmers were notified of this fifteen days before the deadline for downloading the aforementioned papers by text message on their phones. Their application was cancelled because they were unable to complete it in the allocated period. These farmers can now, however, reopen the application and send in the full set of supporting documentation.
Farmers have until June 20 to upload documents to the platform.
The farmers whose applications were rejected are being given another chance to finish the paperwork, as stated by Keshav Kalirana, the deputy director of Sri Ganganagar's horticulture department. By June 20, 2024, the applications of the farmers whose applications were denied will again be available on the Raj Kisan Sathi portal. In this case, farmers whose applications were refused can, within the allotted time, reopen the rejected application on the Raj Kisan Sathi portal and upload the required paperwork online.
How can farmers register to receive a solar pump?
Under the PM Kusum Yojana, farmers can register and receive subsidised rates for installing solar pumps on their fields. Farmers can accomplish this by using their personal mobile device or the local e-mitra to upload their previously completed online applications to the Raj Kisan Sathi Portal, along with the required documents. Together with the application, you must include a copy of the jamabandi (not older than six months), a map of the farm, a certificate stating that there is no electricity, and the capacity of the solar pump (in horsepower). Furthermore, you have to choose a firm from the contractual firms.
How many HP solar pumps can producers expect to receive a subsidy for?
Farmers in the state of Rajasthan will receive a 60% subsidy under the PM Kusum Yojana. Thirty percent will come from the province government and thirty percent from the federal government. Under the programme, manufacturers of solar pumps with power outputs of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP, and 10 HP will be eligible for subsidies from the state's horticulture department.
