Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial proposal of Rs 736 crore to extend the short term loan repayment period and provide interest subsidy to the farmers. Out of 736, a grant amount of Rs 560 crore has been given under the Interest Free Crop Loan Subsidy Scheme. And the approval of Rs 176 has been given under the Compensation Interest Subsidy Scheme. As a result of this decision of the government, the farmers of the state will continue to avail the benefit of short term crop loan without any interest this year also.
