PM-RKVY & KY: The central government made a major step to boost farmer income and ensure middle-class food security. The central government approved two farming programs. The state governments are in charge of carrying out these projects. The Rs 57,074.72 crore spent on the PM Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) and the Rs 44,246.89 crore spent on the Krishonnati Yojana (KY) will help farmers and people in the middle class in the country.

These two agricultural initiatives were authorised.

The Cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has divided all Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) that operate under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare into two umbrella schemes. Two plans from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) ask the Cabinet to eliminate needless rules:   the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY), a cafeteria scheme, and the Krishonnati Yojana (KY). The Cabinet has authorised the proposal. Krishonnati Yojana (KY) promotes food security and self-reliance in agriculture, whereas PM-RKVY promotes sustainable agriculture. Technology is employed throughout to implement programs efficiently and effectively.

It is executed by state administrations.

The government announced in a post that was published following the cabinet meeting that the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana, both agricultural schemes, will be implemented with a total proposed expenditure of Rs 1,01,321.61 crore. State governments execute both of these initiatives. The central share of the proposed expenditure on these two agricultural schemes (Krishi Vikas Yojana and Krishonnati Yojana) is estimated to be Rs 69,088.98 crore, while the state share is Rs 32,232.63 crore. The official statement stated that this exercise guarantees the continuation of all current initiatives. These initiatives have been implemented in mission mode whenever it was deemed necessary to advance any sector for the benefit of farmers.

(MOVCDNER) scheme was altered.

The government announced that the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) project, part of the Krishonnati Yojana (KYC), now includes the MOVCDNER-Detailed Project Report. This new tool will help North Eastern States address agricultural issues.

States can create comprehensive strategies.

The official statement states that rationalising these agricultural plans will help state governments to build a holistic agriculture strategy.  These concentrate not only on the production and yield of crops, but also on the emergent issues of climate-resilient agriculture and the development of value chain approaches for agricultural products. To reduce redundancy, ensure convergence, and help states address agriculture's developing issues like sustainability, nutritional security, climate resilience, value chain growth, and private sector participation, several schemes have been rationalised.
